Updates...

Hey it's been a long time since I last blog :-D so guess this is just a general update on some stuff that had been happening around me...



Work... Umm as usual my boss like to kick a big fuss out of small issues... Ok maybe I am in a position to say that these are small issues but she is not... Anyway, the thing was about exam leave. In the 1st place, I got to say that the people on exam leave are in fault as they knew in advance that their leave will overlap a little but they didn't give a heads up. One of them didn't even tell her or her RO that she is taking a course. So the jeez was about the no heads up part. She literally kick a big fuss and my colleague can only answer monotonous Yes-es over the phone. Eventually the matter was sort of resolved and she explained her stand as a Head, why she kicked a big fuss... Well, personally, I feel that it is not a big issue as her concern was manpower. Even she were to let 5 staff go away with some overlapping time and not exceeding a week, will not render the lab disfunctional as we still have approximately 7 staff of the same position to cover for each other. I can understand her difficulties on HR issues if questioned but this is an unexpected situation and furthermore, they are all still in town so they can still be called back on urgent cases and emergencies. Der... Hope their mood and results will not be affected by her reactions... Oh ya, for some reason, there's been a couple priority cases and I am involved... Sort of drained in way... Quality of work is hanging but not as superior as the past... Perhaps the drop in cases had also made me lazy and sloppy... Hope it bounces back soon...



Personal... I completed 2 RPGs, read a couple of good books. RPGs are not really what most of you like so I will skip... Books wise, for comfort reasons, I have stucked to my fav authors... Except for mandarin books which I am sort of experimenting between authors from different countries... So far, nothing terrific pops up so I guess I will just sort of continue digging and poking... Attended a talk on "What is Psychologist?", pretty informative and useful. Though it covered things that I already know but the Professor added more and most of the audience asked pretty interesting questions. One little tidbit is that MM Lee is force behind the setup of Psychology degree in Singapore! All along I assume that he will be more supportive of commerce base courses but looks like a leader thinks quite differently;-) Oh yah, finally I have registered for my SNCS Level 1 course! It will be held on 9 December and I am thrilled!

Interesting things... Hahaha went to A mei concert with Thomas, Wailoon and Aw... The concert was fantastic but the jokes were on the audience around us hahaha... Happen that we were surrounded by more elderly people and i guess this is their first, hope not last pop concert... Smell of medicated oil, covering of ears, walking out... Oh another high point... A young guy sitting beside wailoon was so high that he broke the light stick and spilled the luminous liquid on himself hahaha :-D
